The clinician’s job is now much more than patient care, making diagnoses, or precision in medical procedures. Connecting with a patient on a personal level is more important than ever. It could be said that all good clinicians are influencers.

We are going to have to wake up to the idea that all of our patients are listening to “influencers” who have no medical training or specific credentials… and that’s why they are attractive. They speak to the pain points of people, and they don’t use the words that clinicians use. Think “longevity” versus “preventative care. Longevity makes people lean in and think… Preventive care makes you think of your grandma or an old doctor doing tests and asking meaningless questions.
